General records of the Special Mission to Great Britain of the Bureau of the Budget, headed by Eric H. Biddle, consisting of correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other records. The records relate to consultations with United States missions and agencies in Great Britain on administrative, interdepartmental, and budgetary questions; inquiries made by the Mission on British War Organization, Mobilization, and Postwar Planning; and to the maintenance of liaison with British officials for exchanging information and experience. Also included are a few records, 1941-42, of the Special Housing Mission to Great Britain (of the National Housing Agency), presumably created or accumulated by Biddle, who had been Secretary of the Special Housing Mission.
